Rural production here rewards patience over kit. We plan lighter crews and longer days, work with local fixers, and give subjects time to get comfortable before a camera is close to them — which is usually what separates a film that feels true from one that feels staged.
Getting there, and getting it done
Planned alongside Kisumu wherever possible, since the two share a travel corridor. We work power-independent, with charging capacity for several days, and build in weather contingency.

Can you combine Siaya with other western Kenya locations?
Yes, and we recommend it. Combining Siaya with Kisumu in one mobilisation is significantly more cost-effective than two separate trips.
How long does a documentary take to produce?
A micro-documentary typically runs 3–5 weeks from brief to delivery. Full-length films depend on scope and travel — we scope the schedule during discovery.
Can you film outside Nairobi?
Yes. We regularly run multi-county productions across Kiambu, Machakos, Kisumu and Siaya, and we handle the travel and logistics end to end.
